Ukraine and Indonesia are interested in increasing cooperation in agriculture

President Petro Poroshenko and President of Indonesia Joko Widodo have discussed the enhancement of agricultural cooperation.

The Head of State noted that Ukraine was interested in agricultural products of Indonesia, inter alia, palm oil, coconuts and textile. “We have expressed willingness to supply goods. Indonesia is a very interesting market for Ukrainian grain, corn, starch, sunflower oil,” Petro Poroshenko said.
The President noted that the trade turnover between the two countries in 2016 had been increased by more than 50% compared to 2015. “This is another evidence of our potential,” the Head of State added.
The President is confident that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia on cooperation in that sphere would facilitate the enhancement of cooperation.
