How to attract investors to Ukraine

Kyiv is planning to hold a number of major international events in the coming months, which should help attract foreign capital into the country.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk told about some of them during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Wednesday.
"In early July are going to hold a big business forum on attracting investment in agricultural, infrastructure and energy sectors - this is what is necessary for our economy," Yatseniuk said.
He recalled that on May 28, Ukraine will also convene a donor conference whose main goal will be a report on conducting difficult but necessary reforms. In particular, it will be focused on the fight against corruption, the establishment of fiscal and tax discipline and how the country will "step by step, in fact, not in word, move to Europe." The consequences of the Russian aggression, which cost Ukraine 20% of its economy, the issues of humanitarian aid, assistance to temporarily displaced persons and restoration of Luhansk and Donetsk regions will also be discussed.
Yatseniuk added that it is planned to convene the same conference with the United States - Ukraine's partner who is also providing substantial assistance to Ukraine.
